Although Bethesda’s Special Edition of Skyrim features improved graphics and a 64 bit application in a new version of the Creation Engine, the modding community was always stronger with the original. It’s still tough to beat the non-special edition of Skyrim if you want to be fully immersed.

Just installed Protect your People mod which is in a description better mod than NPCs protected redux. What makes you think a default creature wouldn't have killed him?It was a much stronger wolf from immersive creatures that killed the NPC, it spawns right next to Barknar.
